In 2030, urban areas are home to more than 60 percent of 8 billion people on the planet. This will put enormous pressure on public infrastructure that is already struggling to meet the growing demand for transport and basic services.

General Motors and its strategic partner, Shanghai Automotive Industry Corp. Group (SAIC), is a common vision to address the need for individual mobility of radical personal change urban transport. We are experimenting with different solutions for drivers of tomorrow. The most promising is a new vehicle is called IV.


2010 GM EN-V Concept

EN-V, which stands for electric car network, to maintain the basic principle of personal mobility - freedom - while helping to remove the motor vehicle in the environmental debate and definition of design leadership. EN-V is a two-seater electric vehicle, which was designed to address concerns surrounding traffic congestion, parking availability, air quality and convenience of the city of tomorrow.

FR-V three models unveiled in Shanghai. They represent three different characteristics that emphasize the pleasantness of transport of the future: Jiao (Pride), Miao (Magic) and Xiao (Laugh). Concepts are presented from 1 to 31 October at the SAIC-GM Pavilion at Expo 2010 Shanghai. Shanghai will become one of the epicenters of the creation of personal mobility solutions for the future.
